For a seller that means how they arrive at a price, what they recommend you spend money on before listing and what they will tell you to skip, and how the property gets marketed. That depends on what you want within a fifteen minute drive. Nanaimo has the hospital, the university, the ferries and the widest range of prices. Parksville and Qualicum Beach are slower, beach-oriented and skew older, with a deep supply of single-level and 55+ housing. Lantzville and Nanoose Bay give you larger lots and more privacy, with a drive for groceries. Ladysmith and Duncan sit south, with lower entry prices and a commute. They all photograph beautifully and they are genuinely different to live in, which is why we would rather talk it through than send you a list.
